Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge

The Olivier Charbonneau Bridge〔(Renamed )〕〔(Renamed.1 )〕 is a toll bridge over the Rivière des Prairies,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://lcn.canoe.ca/infos/regional/archives/2005/01/20050117-201555.html )〕 between Laval's Duvernay district and Montreal's Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. The long anticipated construction〔 began in early 2008, despite a last-ditch attempt by Greenpeace〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.greenpeace.org/canada/fr/presse/communiques/proces-25-debute-finalement )〕 to block the project, and the bridge was opened to traffic on May 21, 2011, at 12:30pm (EDT).
It is a cable-stayed bridge carrying 6 lanes of Quebec Autoroute 25. The bridge is part of a -long project for the completion of Highway 25, and allows cars, trucks and buses to avoid the Pie IX Bridge upstream. It also provides a route around the city of Montreal by connecting Louis Hippolyte Lafontaine Tunnel to Highway 440, thus allowing motorists to avoid the congested Metropolitan Expressway. It is the second modern toll bridge built in Quebec and the first ever built in the Montreal Metropolitan Area since the abolition of toll fares on Champlain bridge in 1990.
As of 2013, 36,400 vehicles cross the bridge daily. As of 2015, toll fees range from $2.20 to $8.42 due to A25 (a private company) charging over 5 dollars in administration fees.〔〔http://www.a25.com/#tarif〕
